Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy.
Reiki is an old healing art rediscovered in the nineteenth century in Japan, by Christian Monk, Master Mikao Usui. However Reiki tradition is found in 2500 years old Sanskrit writings.
A Reiki treatment supports the whole person — physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is a fantastic complementary therapy , supporting recovery, bringing emotional balance, mental clarity and deep relaxation – a sense of peace, strength, lightness, oneness and wholeness.
Reiki heals up to the boundary of your Karma, therefore when it is not able help with healing deeper physical, emotional or mental problems that are part of your self-chosen karma, it could be that an Essenian Healing, or a combination of healings, is possible .
During Reiki treatment, the practitioner gently places their hands on your body and keep them still for a few minutes before moving to the next position, giving a general coverage of the head, the torso, knees and feet. These positions are never personally invasive and practitioners are always respectful of dignity and privacy.
When a Reiki practitioner places their hands on an area of another person's clothed body, Reiki flows through the practitioner into the person receiving the treatment. This flow may be felt as any type of sensation—heat, cold, vibration, tingling, unusual heaviness, or sometimes as no sensation at all.
Reiki session is a 1 hour treatment, during which one remains fully clothed, lying comfortably on a massage table.
It is possible to receive Reiki at a distance, and distance treatment lasts shorter, usually up to 20 minutes.
